Finding support for young people in RBWM

Young Health Champions in Windsor and Maidenhead have been exploring all aspects of health by completing a Level 2 Qualification accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health. They have reflected on the challenges facing young people’s health in the community and created a video to be shared with their peers focused on these issues:

–            Stress – lots of young people are impacted by pressure to perform in exams, to manage homework and the academic demands of school, whilst maintaining extra curricular activities and a social life

–            Sleep – for a multitude of reasons, young people are sleeping less which is impacting other areas of health

–            Social Health – Young Health Champions identified that bullying, loneliness, and peer pressure all impact young people’s relationships and health. They share their messages and top tips in the video they created:

Young Health Champions are also keen to share the local and national services that can support young people with different aspects of their health. The group were keen to emphasise that accessing support is important, and that we should all reach out when we need it, as soon as we can. To help young people identify support, guidance and resources, they have created some guides to inform other young people what support is on offer.
