A Royal Honour: Together As One CEO Rob Deeks Awarded MBE

We are thrilled to share some momentous news with our supporters, partners, and the Slough community. Our very own CEO, Rob Deeks, has been named in the King’s New Year’s Honours List to receive an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire).

The official citation recognises Rob for his “Services to Young People and the Community in Slough.”

A Journey of Dedication

This award marks a significant milestone in a career defined by passion and service. Rob first joined the Together As One family in 2003 (then called Aik Saath), and since taking the helm as CEO in 2009, he has been a tireless advocate for the potential of young people in our town.

Under his leadership, Together As One has evolved into a vital pillar of the community, tackling difficult issues through conflict resolution, social action, and youth-led projects.

A Message from the Team

While Rob is never one to seek the limelight, we believe this recognition is a testament to the thousands of hours he has spent mentoring, guiding, and championing the voices of those who often go unheard.

“Rob’s commitment to Slough isn’t just a job; it’s his calling. To see his two decades of hard work recognised at this level is a proud moment for all of us at Together As One.”

Looking Forward

This MBE isn’t just a celebration of past achievements – it’s fuel for the future. As we celebrate this royal honour, our mission remains the same: empowering the next generation to lead, thrive, and create a more unified Slough.
